The Beginning
Imperial Tabako AD Import-Export Valandovo was founded in 1991. - 1992
The Beginning of Our Distribution Network
We began as a regional cigarette distributor for Eastern and Central Macedonia, in partnership with Tutunski Kombinat Prilep, Tutunski Kombinat Skopje, Makedonija Tabak, and Philip Morris International. This period laid the foundations of our logistics and sales infrastructure. - 1998
Independence and a New Identity
The company separated from its previous structures and continued its cooperation with Tutunski Kombinat Prilep and Philip Morris International. During this period, the company underwent reorganisation and was officially established as Imperial Tabako AD Valandovo, with a new name and organisational structure. - 2007
Expansion into the Telecommunications Sector
An exclusive distribution agreement was signed with A1 Macedonia (then VIP) for the sale of prepaid vouchers, electronic top-ups, and SIM cards. The company successfully expanded its operations beyond the tobacco sector. - 2011
International Partnerships and Imports
We became the authorised importer and distributor of Swedish Match and Cricket Lighters products in Macedonia, and from 2021 onwards, in Albania as well. This significantly expanded our regional presence. - 2012
Strategic Transformation
Our cooperation with Philip Morris International came to an end, allowing us to focus on diversification and new business directions. - 2014
New Partnerships
Our cooperation with Tutunski Kombinat Prilep was concluded by mutual agreement, providing greater flexibility for the development of our own distribution strategy. - 2015
Nationwide Distribution and Expansion
We began direct distribution throughout Macedonia with an expanded portfolio comprising food products, non-food products, and beverages. Imperial Tabako evolved into a modern, multi-sector distributor with nationwide coverage.
